Meghan Markle's Archetypes podcast is 'engineered' to 'make headlines', says expert

The weekly release of Meghan Markle’s Archetypes podcast often serves to create headlines. Whether it is due to a revelation about herself, a reference to her life within the Royal Family or something that one of her well-known guests has said.

While many questions have been asked about Meghan’s podcast, from how it is recorded to what she is aiming to achieve, one expert has suggested that Archetypes has been specifically tailored and “engineered” to “make headlines” every week.

Body language expert, Judi James, told the Daily Express: "Meghan’s life story seems to be dropped in many parts each week on her podcasts.

"Each one that comes out seems engineered to reveal some new detail or fact of her life and it is those ‘reveals’ that seem to hit the headlines even more than the points she is discussing.

"They also seem to promote the feeling that we are being invited to get to know her piece-by-piece, like a huge jigsaw puzzle.

"With this podcast we get three key Meghan reveals or glimpses, although these ones are much lighter on the tears and sadness over her own suffering and pain and either more upbeat and positive or more suitable for the gossip mags."

In the most recent episode of Meghan’s podcast she chatted to actresses Jameela Jamil and Shohreh Aghdashloo.

Meghan spoke about the "unspoken annoyance" that swirls around the subject of women in activism and reveals she "couldn't quite wrap [her] head around it".

She said: "It reminded me of a message that was shared with me just a few days before my wedding by a very, very influential and inspiring woman who for her own privacy, I won't share who it was with you.

"But she said to me, 'I know that your life is changing but please don't give up your activism, don't give up because it means so much to women and girls'.

"And I kept doing the work for women and girls because it matters, yes, but also because she encouraged me to do so.

"And the collective voice of all of us telling each other, that matters is perhaps the point. There's safety in numbers but there's also strength in numbers."
