Disappearance of Mexican student was a state-sponsored crime, truth panel says

According to the final report, the disappearance of 43 Mexican students who were ambushed by police in 2014 was the responsibility of federal and state officials at the highest levels of government. It was a state-sponsored crime involving of the Government Truth Commission.

A commission created by the current administration said the federal government, including the Mexican military and federal police, was aware of thestudent incident. Confirmed. The sequence of events from when they left a rural school campus in Guerrero to when they arrived in Iguala City, where a student was kidnapped on the night of September 24.

Local law Bailiffs then coordinated with a large group of cartel shooters and guards to forcibly disappear the students, the report confirmed.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said to the families of the missing students that all government agencies responding to the missing , pledged to cooperate with the commission to "uncover the truth" of the incident. And he promised no impunity.

The Mexican military, the Marine Corps, and the recently created National Guard all provided documents, videos, and wiretaps to the commission, according to the report.

The incident shook the nation,even as the Mexican government attempted to cover up the crime. To date, only three of his remains have been identified out of 43 students.
