Missing man in kilt vanished from hotel and could be in Ayrshire

Police officers are today appealing for help in tracing a missing man — wearing a kilt — who may have travelled to Ayrshire.

George Brown, 66, also known as Douglas, is from Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire, and he was last seen around 6pm on Friday, September 30 at Cameron House Hotel, in Loch Lomond.

He is described as white, 6ft tall, medium build, with white receding hair and green eyes.

He was last seen wearing a grey kilt jacket, grey kilt style waistcoat, a kilt, long black socks and black shoes.

It is believed George could have travelled to the Ayrshire or Dumbarton areas.

Sergeant Sharon Crawford said: “We are concerned for George as time goes on and we are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
