Neighbour from hell threw stone at mum and daughter's door in campaign of racist abuse

A neighbour called a mother and daughter the N-word and smashed their front door window in a campaign of racist abuse.

Sheree Webb, 59, pulled a face at the pair before calling them the N-word multiple times as they walked back from an Asda at 2pm, Swindon Magistrates' Court heard.

She told the court that she did it because they called her "the fat white woman with the saggy white t**s".

Later that day, she stood outside the victims' home and threw a small stone at their door, breaking a panel of glass.

On Thursday, Webb was sentenced for two racially-aggravated public order offences and criminal damage - and then appeared to show little remorse as she held her arms aloft outside court.

She had earlier pleaded guilty to the crimes after targeting a black woman and her daughter in the street on January 19 this year.

Keith Ballinger, prosecuting, said the mother and daughter have had ongoing issues with Webb and were concerned about what she might do next.

The court heard the defendant had admitted her crimes to police, claiming it was in retaliation for an ongoing dispute over money that she gave to her neighbour.

Webb had appeared in court in March this year, where she admitted an unrelated racially-aggravated public order offence - for which she received a fine.

And representing herself, she told the magistrates that one of the victims in the case "keeps calling me the fat white woman with the saggy white t**s".

She added: "It's money, money, money, she wanted money.

"I gave them £100 within two months but I can't sustain it. I have never asked for a penny back, I am petrified to call the police for anything.

"Every day I'm living in fear, I can't go out at night, I'm scared - she is constantly drinking and smoking cannabis."

Whimpering in the dock, Webb continued: "Twice I've done it, and I'm truly sorry for it please."

Taking into account of the ongoing neighbour dispute, the magistrates imposed a 12-month community order with the requirement to complete 20 retaliation activity days.

Webb must also pay a fine of £160, compensation of £165 for the door repair, a £95 surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

Outside court following sentencing, she said: "I've been ripped off again", while posing for photographs with her arms in the air.
