Parents shocked when 6- and 7-year-olds find 'guns' in dried-up reservoir

Parents were shocked after two young children found "guns" at a beauty spot.

Jenny Chapman, 34, and her 49-year-old Matt Annabelle, 7, enjoy her day at a local reservoir with her Courtman and her 6-year-old Lincoln finds an old rusty pistol with her buckle.

The family was very concerned about the weapons' authenticity after inspecting them and later posting them on social media.

Dad Matt told Her News in Manchester Her Evening:Going down and exploring, Annabelle picked up her gun, but , she initially thought it was a car light.

He continued: "She was like, 'Oh, I found the car lights.' Then she said, 'Oh, that's a gun.'" She called over Lincoln and they both watched.

"I went and checked what condition the gun was in. At first I wasn't sure if it was a real gun.

" From that I could tell it was either the real thing or a very good replica. I thought it was plastic, but it felt like the real thing.

Matt said the children were actively hunting for treasure and were excited when they found something in the Oldham Reservoir. I was just doing what I loved, exploring myself and having fun," he added. 53} Image:

Jeny posts images of what the kids found on Facebook and asked people if they believed it was a real gun.

Mark said, "I haven't heard anything from the police yet. When we took it to the police station, they put it in a bag of evidence and took it.
