Food packaging lies such as “Peel here”

We are used to being lied to by our friends and romantic partners, but it is especially upsetting when our trusty supermarket package lies to us. Here are some blatant lies they expect you to swallow.

The peel-off flaps found on packs of bacon, ham, etc. are one of the biggest scams of all time. Flaps break quickly by hand, or require the finger strength of an Olympic climber to purchase.You're more likely to get into Beyoncé's Knickers than the Smoke Rush 8-pack.

Like the Bermuda Triangle and Area 51, packages that promise to stay fresh are one of the mysteries of the paranormal of our time. In reality, vegetables with this label inexplicably age at a very accelerated rate, turning brownish mush like you're watching a time-lapse video. The only solution is to eat whole lettuce whenever you like a leafy salad.
