Police release CCTV of man investigating murder of 87-year-old on mobility scooter

A man was seen fleeing the scene after Thomas O'Halloran was killed in a "shocking act" of "gratuitous violence" around 4pm on Tuesday. Detectives released a photo of Police were called to Caton Road, Greenford, west London, after receiving reports of a stabbing, and the charity fundraiser was declared dead at the scene.

O'Halloran is said to be locally known for busking outside Greenford Station and is said to be raising money for war-torn Ukraine.

A man, believed to be O'Halloran, plays an instrument in a poignant YouTube video uploaded in October 2020, captioned "A few songs on the accordion."

According to O'Halloran's Facebook page, he is from Ennistimon, County Clare in the West of Ireland, and in the video he wears a hat and glasses and says, "Are you ready?

A man who works at a newsagent outside the station said: "He used to play the accordion here.

"He used to come every day for a long time. for at least two years. .

Frasley Coutinho, who lives on the other side of the attack, said he saw the victim surrounded by a group of boys.
