A former pop idol judge appeared on Good Morning Britain to pay tribute to the tragic death of Darius Danesh at the age of 41.
The former pop idol star was found dead in his apartment in Minnesota on August 11, his family said in a statement Tuesday night. His cause of death remains unknown.
This singer and actor was named ITV talent 20 years ago. He came in third in Pop Idols.
Former Pop Idol judge Pete Waterman appeared on Wednesday's ITV show Good Morning Britain, describing Darius as "a real, real gentleman in every sense of the word."
He said: he was everywhere. It was so unbelievable and he was such a wonderful person.

Image: PA)Fellow former Pop Idol judge Neil Fox also appeared on the show, remembering Darius, saying, "He's better than the real thing." He was a big character and always very charming.
"Myself and everyone else who came into contact with him always said he was a very down-to-earth, very humble and decent person."
Entertainment reporter Richard Arnold recalled how pop idols "changed the broadcast landscape" and explained that he met Darius on numerous occasions.

Press Association)In a moving statement Tuesday night, the Darius family said: It is written as Darius was found unresponsive in bed in his Rochester, Minnesota apartment on August 11 and was confirmed dead in the afternoon by the local coroner's office.
"The local police station confirmed there were no signs of intentional or suspicious circumstances. The cause of his sudden death is unknown at this stage following a medical examination.
