Maya Jama poked fun at herself as she shared a throwback video from her youth to her adoring fans.
The TV presenter and former BBC Radio 1 host looked worlds apart from her current glamourous lifestyle as she posted the video of herself as a teenager while at a dance class. In the video, which was shared on her Instagram Stories to her 2.4 million followers, saw her introduce herself in the piece to the camera as she described her dancing background.
Maya captioned the video "Looooool omg. Fresh dance days, my head looks joke" followed by a laughing emoji and red love heart.

Instagram/ @mayajama)Maya was tagged in the video by her old teacher, with the youngster saying: "My name's Maya and I've been at Fresh for about a year now. I've done one performance, which was really good because it boosts my confidence. Lisa is a good teacher because she pushes you."
Maya exuded confidence in the video which has become a feature of her career on TV and the airwaves.
She started a weekday show on Rinse FM for three years between 2014 and 2017 before moving to Radio 1 where she presented Radio 1's Greatest Hits on Saturdays. She then hosted her own show on BBC station between 2018 and 2020.
On the small screen, she has presented Cannonball alongside Andrew Flintoff, co-hosted the first series of The Circle on Channel 4 with Alice Levine before becoming a team captain on ITV2 rap panel show Don't Hate the Playaz.

Getty Images)Maya has since become the new presenter of Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star. However, it was reported last week that the 28-year-old has signed up as Love Island 's new host, ahead of the 2023 series.
The TV favourite was recently rumoured for the role, but has now reportedly agreed to join the series - with contracts apparently being finalised.
It follows current presenter Laura Whitmore stepping down from the show following the latest summer series, after finding "certain elements of the show very difficult".
Maya will reportedly host both the winter edition early next year, which is making its comeback after two years off air, before taking on the hit summer series in Majorca.

"She was discussed as a possible replacement for Caroline two years ago — but now the time is right. They think she’ll make the show her own and carry on from where Caroline left off.
"They’re just in the process of finalising the last few details — but barring any huge surprises she will be announced formally very soon. They are just dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s."
