Pride of Britain 2022: No Time to Nominate Heroes for Awards

From brave kid to brave pensioner, life-saving paramedic to campaigner, someone in a few days The Pride of Britain that changed the world shines a light on our unsung heroes.

We are looking for this year's winners, but time is running out. If anyone deserves recognition, let us know now. You can nominate online at prideofbritain.com until midnight Friday night (12th August).

The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, along with TSB, honor those who go to great lengths to help others. Winners will receive their awards at a glamorous dinner screened in prime time on ITVin London in the fall.

Dozens of celebrities will participate, from royalty to music, film, television and sports stars, but the winners will be the real stars.

Father Martin was paralyzed from the waist down while standing with his daughter Eve at the bombed Manchester Arena in May 2017.

In June, he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, to raise money for the Spinal Cord Injury Association.

Martin prepared for this feat over his two years, using a specially modified wheelchair to complete his ascent. He said: "I kept my mind on the problem and my head on the end goal."

East London mother decides to become activist after her sons are attacked on the street.

She founded her first community group Children with Voices in 2010, and in 2020 she launched the Hackney Community Food Hub, which has helped over 100,000 people.

Michelle uses her own benefits to launch her charity, running her food her hub seven days a week. She adds:

Dave Boardman

Ambulance technician Dave, thanks to his quick thinking during the arson incident in Blackpool, selflessly saved the lives of 22 people.

After driving past while answering another call, he rushes into the smoke-filled building, awakening the sleeping occupants.

Former police officer Dave inhaled toxic fumes and burned the back of his throat and had to go to the hospital, but he will continue to do so. Say you're not going to act.

``A&E reflected,'' he said.

Dorothy, London's Great Ormond Senior Reverend Street Hospital, held the wedding of Peata Kulaga and her husband Ash in record time.

Their baby Leo has not been diagnosed.

Ash told Peeta, "Let's get married. I want Leo to be my best man," and Dorothy made this her number one priority.

Leo died last July at the age of 5. Dorothy supported the family and helped conduct Leo's funeral in the hospital chapel.

Swansea City youth player Hari, 13, died in January at his mother's He averted tragedy by piloting his mother Katrin's car from an M4 after Katrin passed out while driving.

"When I got behind the wheel, put her on her stiff shoulders, and drove the M4 for a mile (a mile)." I drove Hari said, adding that Dylan gave the instructions. Katrin has been discharged from the hospital after a health check-up.
