Prince Harry ‘said “Brits need to learn a lesson” before bombshell interview’

Prince Harry told a friend ahead of his bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview the Royal Family would find it ‘quite shocking’, it has been claimed.

But he proceeded with the interview because ‘those Brits need to learn a lesson’, The Sun reports.

The alleged remarks surfaced days before the release of the Sussexes’ highly-anticipated docuseries ‘Harry & Meghan’, billed as a ‘global event’ by Netflix that promises to lift the lid on ‘institutional racism’ at the heart of the Royal Family.

‘If aired, they will be absolutely explosive. The topic of racism is discussed- plus claims that some royals opposed the marriage.

‘The whole TV project is very driven by Meghan,’ they added.

Fresh accusations of racism are expected to be levelled against the royals in the documentary, alongside Harry’s thoughts regarding the death of his mother and his father’s affair with Camilla.

Also expected to be discussed are Meghan’s claims that her royal treatment led her to develop suicidal thoughts, and Harry’s ‘shame’ over the way he initially dealt with his wife’s admission.

According to Netflix, the docuseries contains: ‘Commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed.’

The royals are said to be bracing for the worst and will be prepared to address the accusations head on, with one source calling Harry’s Netflix show a ‘declaration of war.’

‘There is a completely united front from the King and his family concerning the numerous attempts to privately make peace with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which sadly have once again resulted in the other side wishing to air their repeated grievances to the world,’ a palace insider told the Mirror.

‘If there is a need to respond to anything in the upcoming series then you can be assured that response will be swift and robust.’

Meanwhile, Prince William is reportedly growing tired of the long-standing royal mantra of ‘never complain, never explain’ and is ready to personally intervene and urge Harry to ‘back off’.

The brothers have barely spoken since the Oprah interview, and their relationship deteriorated even further this week amid claims they deliberately attempted to sabotage William and Kate’s US trip.

Many called it William’s ‘superbowl moment’ with the American public, but it was overshadowed by a trailer for the Netflix show.

It also comes as William’s godmother, Lady Susan Hussey, was forced to resign in disgrace this week after repeatedly questioning the heritage of a black domestic abuse campaigner.

Ngozi Fulani, chief executive of Sistah Spice, said she had a ‘traumatic’ encounter with Lady Susan, who repeatedly asked her where she was ‘really’ from.

The incident prompted William to issue a swift denouncement of his godmother’s actions.
