The once inseparable royal brothers may never reconcile after the Duke of Sussex agreed to feature in a documentary about his life, it has been claimed. Given Prince William is adverse to what Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have done with Netflix, "many" think he is unlikely to ever gap the bridge now separating him from his younger brother, a source claimed.
Described as a "friend", the source told the Daily Mail: "All relationships are built on trust but for members of the Royal Family, who live their life in the spotlight, doubly so.
"The prince is a very private man and what Harry is doing is the anathema of everything he believes.
"On that alone, many believe it is unlikely he will ever be able to repair his relationship with them. Too much water has gone under the bridge."
The first three episodes of the documentary Harry & Meghan debuted on the US streaming platform on December 8.
While the programme didn't include fresh bombshell allegations or open attacks against the Royal Family, it featured a few digs many believed were aimed at individual members of the Firm - including Prince William.
Among them was the claim by the Duke of Sussex some men in his family may have the "temptation or an urge" to marry a person "who would fit in the mould, as opposed to somebody who you perhaps are destined to be with."
In the second episode of the show, Meghan recalled her first-ever meeting with the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
While she depicted herself as a "hugger" who would leave the formality only to the public sphere, the Duchess of Sussex said she realised after her relocation to the UK her nature "is really jarring for a lot of Brits" - possibly including also her brother and sister-in-law.

She said: "I guess I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside, carried through on the inside. That there is a forward-facing way of being. And then you close the door and you are like, 'Oh, great. Okay, we can relax now'. But that formality carries over on both sides. And that was surprising to me."
Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales, haven't spoken publicly about the docu-series and haven't yet carried out a public engagement since its debut.
The Prince, however, broke his silence on Friday, when his official Twitter account shared a snap of him smiling in front of a computer screen.
The accompanying message was related to the five winners of his decade-long environmental initiative, the Earthshot Prize, and read: "A pleasure chatting to our @EarthshotPrize 2022 winners this morning! Can’t wait to see what the future holds for these brilliant solutions and the wonderful teams behind them."
