Prince William's YouTube bombshell is £76million blow to Prince Harry

Prince William and Prince Harry's brotherly rivalry is set to continue as the Prince of Wales' YouTube bombshell fires a financial blow at his younger brother.

The future King of England recently saw his Earthshot Prize ceremony partner with the online video sharing platform in a deal worth £76million ($95million).

Their partnership, according to columnist Daniela Elser, is "showing up Harry", who has been "beating the climate crisis drum" ever since he left the Royal Family with Meghan Markle.

YouTube and the Earthshot Prize's deal was struck as a was of pushing through "co-branded campaigns, events and creator collaborations" over a two-year deal.

According to expert Elser, it is a "landmark moment" for the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex, she claimed in her column for news.com.au.

A swift blow to the work Prince Harry is putting out there through his own charitable foundations, it would appear the duo's "similar charitable interests and work" have come to a head.

Elser claimed Harry, since leaving the Royal Family, had talked "about things passionately and then not do much - about the fact the Earth is melting such as last year when he addressed a partially empty UN General Assembly, saying 'our world is on fire'".

By contrast, Prince William was "back in London with a white board, some earnest, clever clogs sorts and the backing of more billionaires than you could poke a priceless stick at working on the Earthshot Prize."

Prince William then appears to have scuppered the similar work Prince Harry has been responsible for, with the eldest brother receiving plaudits and praise for his Earthshot actions.

Elser wrote: "What Wednesday’s YouTube announcement really cements is the fact that of the two royal brothers, one has effortlessly cemented his global leadership in the battle for us to not all drown in our beds thanks to rising sea levels.

"And the other is a man who was once duped by help pranksters posing to be Greta Thunberg to help move 50 penguins from landlocked Belarus to the North Pole."

It appears Prince Harry is "stadium-lengths" behind his older brother, according to Elser, with £15.3mil ($19mil) in funding made by the Earthshot Prize in two years compared to the £3.7mil ($4.7) Archewell has made across all projects.
