‘Professional’ crooks who raided Perrie Edwards & Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s home ‘used tall ladder’

POLICE believe a gang of suspected professional crooks who smashed into Little Mix star Perrie Edwards and her fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s home targeted the couple using a tall ladder via an upstairs window.

The Sun told yesterday how the couple were at their mansion with their one year old son when they were ruthlessly targeted by burglars, who made off with jewellery and designer valuables on Tuesday evening.

And now sources say cops have identified how the thieves entered by scaling the property as the oblivious pair enjoyed an evening at home alone in a shamelessly brazen heist.

A pal said: “It seems astonishing that you could be burgled in your own home during the evening without even being out, but that’s what police believe happened.

“It now looks as though they were targeted by some fairly brazen and experienced criminals who had the brass neck and the wherewithal to climb the back of a large property and get hold of all this expensive kit before they were noticed.

“They must be pretty seasoned but police are determined to get hold of them before anyone else falls victim.”

Cheshire Police confirmed officers were called to the burglary at 10.45pm on Tuesday, saying: “The offenders have broken into the home stealing jewellery and handbags while the occupants were inside.”

It’s understood a number of homes in the exclusive area of Cheshire have significantly increased their security arrangements in recent months as a precaution.

Perrie and Liverpool FC ace Alex moved to the £3.5million mansion two years ago, buying the home in cash, before welcoming their first child together, Axel.

They couple count ex-Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, 80, United defender Raphael Varane, 29, and Manchester City goalie Ederson, 29, among their neighbours in the private road in Wilmslow.

In May, The Sun told how Alex’s Liverpool team-mate and neighbour Andy Robertson, 28, was forced to beef-up security around his £3.5million mansion after a prowler sparked a “significant security breach” while he was away playing for Scotland.

A man, 37, was arrested in connection with the incident.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has endured a lengthy spell on the sidelines following a serious hamstring injury during a pre-season friendly with Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile Perrie is working on her solo debut after stepping away from Little Mix for a “hiatus” earlier this year.
