After rail havoc in early 2022, the UK is gearing up for moretrain strikesthis summer.
Up to 40,000 members of the Railways, Shipping and Transport (RMT) union went on strike on 27 July. This week is also due to go on strike – while the railway drivers' union Aslef also started his strike in late July.
There is ongoing industrial action over disputes over wages, job security and working conditions that have not yet been resolved in negotiations between trade unions and railway companies.
However, as thousands of Britons prepare for their summer vacation, plans are likely to be interrupted by a strike.

Will Eurostar trains be affected by UK rail strikes?
Yes. The strike will affect Eurostar on both Thursday 18th August and Saturday 20th August.
In a statement on its website, a Eurostar representative wrote:
"Even though no Eurostar staff were involved in the strike, we have been unable

What happens if the Eurostar train is cancelled?
If the original train is canceled:
