England are just three games away from World Cup glory... but standing in their way are reigning champions France.
Gareth Southgate's Three Lions coasted through to the knockout stages after winning Group B, with dominant wins against Iran (6-2) and Wales (3-0) either side of a stodgy goalless draw with the USA. African champions Senegal looked set to offer an awkward last-16 challenge, and so it proved in the opening half-hour as Jordan Pickford came to the rescue with a fine stop to deny Boulaye Dia.
That save seemed to wake England up, as Jude Bellingham turned on the style to run the midfield with goals from Jordan Henderson and Harry Kane sending Southgate's men into half-time two goals to the good. Bukayo Saka struck England's third to wrap up the tie before the hour-mark and send them through to the quarter-finals in a comprehensive 3-0 win.
England were the joint-highest scorers at the tournament heading into the knockouts, and are now leading with another three against Senegal - and they will need everything an in-form attack has to offer against world champions France in the quarters.
