A homeless man suffered second-degree burns after being seton fire by thugs.
The victim, in his 40s, was sleeping in Canterbury, Kent on Wednesday afternoon when he was attacked.
Kingsmead suffered burns to his torso in a horrific incident behind his leisure centre.
The man's parents said they were horrified to learn of the incident. However, living abroad in Cyprus, they said they felt "helpless".

Police and paramedics were present at the scene, but the victim initially refused to file a formal complaint. After the conversation, an investigation was launched.
A police spokesman said, "At approximately 4:30 pm on Monday, August 15, police were concerned about a man who had set fire to his clothes, and a police station was located behind the leisure center on Kingsmead Road. Called to a prairie."
