Ryan Giggs said in court that he "doesn't remember any physical interactions" after calling ex-girlfriend Kate Greville in his ex-wife's name.
The 48-year-old former Manchester United star denies he assaulted 37-year-old Greville during their six-year relationship. Greville said in court last week that while on vacation to Dubai in February 2020, Giggs called her "Stacey" and tugged on the strap of her bag so hard that he fell in front of her and landed on her knees. and claimed to have suffered bruises.

Chris Daw QC, defending Giggs, asked Giggs, "Did you do anything physical to her?"
Giggs replied.
He said he ran to the front desk minutes after Ms. Greville had left the room, only to find that she had already left the hotel. . The former Welsh coach told the court that he thought Greville went to stay at a friend's house in Dubai and that she went home alone.
He added: After such a wonderful holiday, it ends like this. I was clearly alone on the plane and felt devastated.
Giggs claimed that Ms. Greville stayed in Dubai for another week and when she returned, the two got back together.
Giggs was accused of intimidating and controlling behavior towards Mr. Greville following an altercation at his home in Worsley, Greater Manchester on 1 November 2020.
Ms. Greville told jurors that Giggs "grabbed me by the shoulders, looked me straight in the eye, and headbutted me on the lips," and slapped his sister Emma on the chin. He denies all charges.
