An Ayr wedding film company have been hailed the cream of the crop in Scotland after scooping a top award.
Ultimate Moments Videography, run by husband and wife duo Derek and Maureen Sweeney, from Doonfoot, were crowned Scotland’s Best Wedding Film Makers at the 2022 Your Scottish Wedding Awards.
The awards - seen as the Oscars of the wedding industry - recognise wedding suppliers who work tirelessly to put their couples at the heart of everything they do.
Suppliers can only be nominated by their clients and are based on stellar customer care and service.
Derek and Maureen said they have been “on cloud nine” since the awards night in Glasgow, which was presented by Scottish actress and comedian Elaine C Smith - with their trophy now taking pride of place in their editing room.
Derek said: “We were delighted to have been nominated for these awards, but to win really does mean the absolute world to us.
“There are many wedding awards, but this is the most prestigious of them all and we honestly are on cloud nine - it is still sinking in.
“We love our job and capturing special moments that our customers are going to have for many years to come.
“Our trophy sits proudly in the office where all the editing is done, and where it will be seen by everyone when they come for their wedding meet ups.”
Ultimate Moments Videography, who have been in business for 12 years, took the pandemic in their stride as they helped 90 per cent of their clients move their wedding dates to 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Maureen said: “This has been our busiest year to date as we had all our original bookings along with the weddings that were moved to this year.

“This award is our reward for all our hard work and dedication, especially over the last 12 to 18 months.
“We really do put our heart and soul into our work.
“We were one of only four videographers to make the finals and it was a very tough category, so this is something special.”
Ultimate Moments are also the only Scottish videography company to be nominated for the 2022 British Wedding Awards, which take place next month.
