Scottish student diagnosed with rare inoperable brain tumor after months of headaches

A Scottish student who had been suffering from headaches for months received devastating news that his tumor was inoperable.

PeterheadHis Jordan Kearney, from Peterhead, was diagnosed with a rare form of brain tumor when a large 4 cm mass was discovered after seeing an ophthalmologist in June. I was.

The 22-year-old was taken to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where an emergency biopsy was performed and three weeks later he was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM grade 4). Mother Maria and Damian were devastated.

The tumor is inoperable due to its location, and Jordan is undergoing chemoradiation because his family is looking for alternative treatments.

Peterhead Academy Jordan had to postpone the last semester of his final year studying international management at the university. because he was suffering from headaches.

Speaking to Aberdeen Live, Jordan's uncle David Kearney praised his popular nephew for his character, and the family was overwhelmed by the support he received.

He said: "It's been a really horrible eight weeks for him and his parents.

"He was treated very badly. He's just out of college and at 22 he's too young to let go.The battle for us now is that there might be some sort of private choice.

"They obviously can't operate it and the alternatives we've been looking at are incredibly expensive. At first I wasn't sure if I'd put up a fundraising page, but after a few hours People say

His discovery came after an appointment at an optician.
