Teen Mom and its spin-offs have produced an abundant number of cast members over its thirteen-year run.

FARRAH ABRAHAM

One such cast member and the first to be asked to leave the show was Farrah Abraham.

Farrah, 30, joined Teen Mom in its first season after having been featured on the MTV reality show 16 & Pregnant.

The 16 & Pregnant alum's segments mainly focused on the contentious relationship between her and her mother, Debra Danielson.

Their rocky relationship came to a head in 2010 when Debra was charged with assault in Iowa court for hitting her daughter.

Farrah was released from the rebranded Teen Mom OG in 2017 after executive producer Morgan J. Freeman told the TV personality that she was "difficult" to work with and gave her the choice to either continue filming Teen Mom or pursue her Adult Entertainment career.

Farrah chose the Adult Entertainment career and was fired from the show.

RYAN AND MACKENZIE EDWARDS

Ryan Edwards, 34. was originally featured on 16 & Pregnant and later Teen Mom with his then-girlfriend and mother to his son, Maci Bookout, 30.

Over the course of the series, fans watched their relationship deteriorate as Ryan consistently put his wants before the needs of his then-fiance and their son, Bentley.

He later joined the spin-off series Teen Mom OG as a support cast member with his wife Mackenzie Edwards.

Behind the scenes, but while still in the public eye, Ryan suffered from heroin addiction and struggled with its abuse.

Both Ryan and his wife Mackenzie were fired from the show, along with his parents Larry and Jen, following a blowout fight between Larry, and Maci's husband, Taylor Bookout.

JENELLE EVANS AND DAVID EASON

Jenelle Evans, 30, and her husband David Eason, 33, were both fired from Teen Mom 2 after a series of disturbing controversies.

Jenelle was no stranger to controversy as over the Teen Mom's stint on the MTV show Jenelle dealt with arrests, probation, drug rehab, and a lengthy custody battle with her mother, Barbara Evans, 68, over guardianship of her son Jace.

But it wasn't until the mom-of-three's husband David shot and killed the family dog that ended their time on the show.

Jenelle and David have both recently joined the adult social platform Onlyfans.

There are also rumors that Jenelle may be rejoining the cast of Teen Mom 2 after attending a party thrown by co-star Briana DeJesus.

TAYLOR SELFRIDGE

Taylor Selfridge, 27, appeared on Teen Mom OG with her boyfriend and father to daughter Mila, reality TV star Cory Wharton, 31.

Cory shares a daughter, Ryder, with Teen Mom series regular Cheyenne Floyd.

After a fairly short stint on the series, Taylor was fired by producers and her spin-off special canceled after past racist posts were brought to light.

The Teen Mom alum is currently expecting a second child with Cory.

LEXI TATMAN

Lexi Tatman, 22, was one of five new cast members featured in the Teen Mom spin-off Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant.

While Jade Cline and Ashley Jones were both promoted to Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2, Lexi was dropped from the series due to producers believing she was "boring" and that she didn't have an "interesting" story.

Kayla Jones

Kayla Jones, 22, joined Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant in its third season.

She was quickly released from the low-rated series due to fans not getting attached to her story and instead identifying with another Teen Mom on the chopping block, Madisen Beith.

BRISTOL PALIN

The daughter of former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, Bristol Palin, 31, joined the cast of Teen Mom OG before leaving on her own after one season.

She replaced Farrah Abraham after MTV cut-ties with the Adult Entertainer.

Bristol stated her reason for leaving was to keep her peace of mind.

She said: "Teen Mom OG wasn’t a fit for me, it took away my peace...and honestly, my peace has a price tag that no one but God can afford."

Chelsea Houska

Chelsea Houska stopped filming Teen Mom in 2020 because "it's best for her family to move on."

Fans watched the popular 16 & Pregnant alum raise her daughter Aubree, 12, with her ex-boyfriend Adam Lind.

They then watched her build a family with her husband Cole DeBoer and welcome children Watson, Layne, and Walker.

Chelsea is now preparing to star in, with her husband, an HGTV home renovation series Farmhouse Fabulous.

KAILYN LOWRY

Kailyn Lowry, 30, is the latest Teen Mom to leave the long-running series.

The reality star is the mother to Issac with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera, Lincoln with ex-husband Javi Marroquin, and sons Lux and Creed with ex-boyfriend Chris Lopez.

The Coffee Convos podcaster confirmed her exit via Facebook post where she wrote: "I am done! Declined the new show, TMFR & girls night in".

Fans had been asking for MTV execs to fire the mom-of-four after her repeated mistreatment of the show's producers and unwillingness to answer the questions asked to her.
