Sidemen trophy presentation cancelled due to "security issues" as fans told to leave

Fans at the Sidemen vs YouTube Allstars charity game were unable to witness a trophy presentation, with a security issue forcing those in attendance to leave the stadium.

Charlton Athletic's home ground The Valley played host to a 15-goal thriller, with Miniminter scoring a late winner from range. However, with supporters waiting to see the victorious Sidemen receive their trophy and medals, they were asked to leave the ground.

No further details over the security issues were explicitly provided during the live broadcast, but fans had been seen encroaching on the pitch after the final whistle. Instead of an on-field display, the victorious team were presented with the trophy and their winners' medals inside the changing room.

The sold-out event drew a crowd of 27,000, with fans treated to entertainment from the get-go. With just 17 seconds on the clock, Speed wiped out YouTuber-turned boxer KSI with a heavy tackle.

Speed, who travelled to London from the United States for the game, was in the thick of things again in the second half. He thought he had beaten the offside trap to score for the YouTube Allstars, only to be denied by an official's flag before taking his anger out on referee Mark Clattenburg.

The hero of the hour, however, was Miniminter. The 30-year-old scored a hat-trick, with the last of those goals - the match-winner - coming from close to the halfway line with just moments left on the clock.

Sidemen won 8-7 at the Valley
