Sturmer was humiliated as left-wing lawmakers savaged him as 'missing' over cost of living crisis

During his absence, Backventure responded positively to calls from former Labor Prime Minister Gordon Brown to summon parliament. The former prime minister also called for energy companies to be temporarily renationalized, arguing that policies he advocated would bring gas and electricity prices down.

Many Labor MPs have criticized Lord Kiel's "creepy" silence on rising energy prices.

However, they responded positively to Mr. Brown's proposal, prompting Lord Kiel to "go further" by seeking a new cost of living relief package.

During a trip to Edinburgh on Friday, Lord Kiel will announce plans to end the rip-off pre-paid meters that he sees driving high electricity bills in the poorest households.

MPs from Holborn and St. Pancras will also say the move is due to higher windfall taxes on energy companies.

This removes the discounts built into companies reinvesting their profits in the UK.

Lord Kiel will next week announce "full-pay" measures to help households weather the crisis, according to Shadow Attorney General Steve Reed.

However, these announcements did not quell the anger of some Labor supporters, particularly on the left.

Zara Sultana, a Member of Parliament for Coventry South and a member of her group in the Socialist Campaign, told her LBC that Lord Kiel needs to go further.

She said: "The scale of this crisis is so great that I personally don't think my party has done enough."

”Labour goes further.

Former Shadow Home Secretary Diana Abbott shared a mockup of Lord Kiel's wanted poster. "Have you seen this man? Missing in a cost of living crisis," was accompanied by a black-and-white photo of a Labor leader.

Labor MPs openly lashed out at Sir Keel for asking where the former Prosecution Chief was.

They said. What is he up to?

"Gordon made it very difficult for the leadership to remain silent, but it's eerie how much they've been silent."

Thursday night , 22 left-wing Labor MPs and associates, including former Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn and former Shadow Prime Minister John McDonnell, sent letters to Lord Kiel and Boris Johnson calling for Parliament to be recalled.
