'Sudden death' of Harry and Meghan's marriage rubbished by royal expert as rumours swirl

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's marriage won't suffer a "sudden death" despite split rumours, said a royal expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been the centre of speculation that their relationship is in jeopardy in recent weeks, with one commentator speculating the couple's union would "end in tragedy" in only a matter of time.

Fans became suspicious that the pair's five-year marriage was on the rocks after the pair stopped appearing in public together, with Harry jetting to the UK alone to appear in court last week.

But royal expert Eric Schiffer of Reputation Management Consultants believes there's a simple explanation for the couple's recent distance.

One expert thinks the pair's recent distance has a simple explanation

Schiffer told the Daily Star: "The fact that we see Meghan and Harry out less together has much more to do with their schedules, personal interests, and parenting duties than it reveals some sudden death to their bond."

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams agreed, adding: "I would not read anything into the fact that we have not seen them together much.

"I am certain we will see a great deal more of them both."

The couple has been the subject of split rumours for some time now, fuelled by Meghan's absence from royal engagements such as King Charles' coronation and speculation the former Suits star had been out partying in LA without her husband.

Taking to Twitter, society journalist Petronella Wyatt said: "Friends of mine who live near them are always bumping into Meghan at parties these days.

"She tends to leave Harry at home."

Appearing on Dan Wootton Tonight on GB News, best-selling biographer Tom Bower echoed the fears and said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are running into "one major problem after another".

"[Meghan is] a scheming woman," Bower critiqued.

"She’s always been plotting. She’s always been looking how she can use people for her own benefit.

"She probably no longer sees his purpose. She doesn’t see what he can still do for her. Because he’s done everything. He’s given her the title, he’s given her fame. What is the next step?" he added.

Last month the pair were also forced to deny allegations Harry was staying in a secret hotel room away from his wife.

Issuing a rare public statement, a representative for the couple slammed the hearsay as "absolutely not true".
