Teenager dies following horror crash on Scots road as police appeal for witnesses

A teenager has died following a car crash on a busy road in Aberdeen today, with two other men also taken to hospital.

Police in Aberdeen are appealing for witnesses following the fatal crash on the B9077. The crash took place in the Bridge of Dee area around 12.40am today, Sunday, September 25. It involved a black Audi RS3.

Emergency services attended, however a 19-year-old man, a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 23-year-old man, the driver of the car, and a 22-year-old man, another passenger in the car, were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with minor injuries. No other vehicles were involved.

The road was still closed between Kirkton House and Leggart Terrace at 1pm on Sunday while a full collision investigation was carried out.

Sergeant Lesley Morrison, of Police Scotland 's Elgin Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and our thoughts are with the driver’s family at this difficult time.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the car prior to the incident to get in touch.”
