THE Big Blow Out is a new competition series on E4 all about hair.
Eleven talented hairstylists will compete in a series of extravagant and jaw-dropping hair challenges to become the next "superstar hairstylist".
Who are the contestants on The Big Blow Out?
Claire
Claire is a 33-year-old who was North London born but is now living in South London.
She started training when she was 21 and is now working as a Master Stylist at a salon in Clapham South.
She is very creative and relishes new challenges.
Darren
Darren is 30 years old and co-owns his own salon in Leicester.
He originally trained to be an electrician but decided to change course and start a hairdressing apprentice at aged 21.
He loves what he is doing now but would love to open another salon to build his empire.
Vicki
Vicki is 32 years old and from Cornwall.
She is a colour expert who has been in the industry for 16 years and loves beachy, instagrammable hair.
She describes her hairdressing style as messy and lived in.
Dylan
Dylan is a 26-year-old hard-working, award-winning stylist living in London.
He often does hair for the cast of Made in Chelsea and has worked on the MOBO awards and Celebrity XFactor.
In 2017, he was the youngest person to win The Clothes Show Young Hairdresser of the Year Award in association with Hairdressers Journal.
Abigail
Abigail is 31 years old and grew up in a town outside of Cardiff called Llanharry in Ponteclun with her parents and brother.
She has been in the industry for 15 years and felt like hair was her calling from a young age.
She works as a senior bridal stylist and is now very busy again after Covid.
Brooke
Brooke is a 28-year-old award-winning salon owner from Shropshire.
She is passionate about sustainability and making environmental change cool in the industry.
She has won Creative Head Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year and her salon won Best Local Salon at the Salon Business Awards as well as making the final list for Best Green Salon.
Emma
Emma is a 28-year-old super braider from London.
She is versatile and able to work well with all types of hair textures.
She has worked on shoots for Vogue Italia and Tommy Hilfiger and worked with and assisted Syd Hayes.
Raymond
Irishman living in London, Raymond traded in the law for hair.
He is a great all-rounder when it comes to hairdressing and barbering as he is experienced in both salon and session styling.
The 34-year-old enjoys cutting and colouring because he loves the transformations that can happen.
Jack
Jack is a 29-year-old cutting specialist who runs his own cutting courses which he promotes through his popular Instagram page.
He lives in the New Forest and has had the opportunity to work at London Fashion Week.
He is very creative and not afraid to give anything a go.
Lily-Rose
Lily-Rose is 20 years old and from Bristol.
Although she has only been a full stylist running her own column for about a year, he has just been made Assistant Manager of her salon at 19 years old.
Colour correction is one of her favourite things to do as she loves to problem solve.
Molly
Molly is 21 years old and has been in the hairdressing industry for over three years.
She is still studying for a degree in Specialist Hair and Media Makeup in Birmingham.
As a young queer person, She hopes to inspire others to get into the industry.
Who are the judges of The Big Blow Out?
Judging the stylists will be legendary hairdresser Sam McKnight and award-winning hairdresser to the stars Lisa Farrall.
McKnight is a celebrated high-fashion session hairstylist.
He boasts a celebrated career spanning over four decades encompassing catwalks, editorials and advertising campaigns for an extensive list of clients.
He has worked with top fashion houses such as Chanel, Fendi, Balmain, Burberry and Tom Ford.
Farrall, who is originally from Swadlincote, has worked with top stars including Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles over the years.
She is well-known in the hairdressing industry for being an expert in styling afro and textured hair.
Sam and Lisa will use their triumphant experience and knowledge as they offer advice and guidance to push these hopefuls to their limits to create eye-opening hairstyles.
The Big Blow Out will also feature a weekly guest judge.

The Big Blow Out is hosted by AJ Odudu.
AJ is a TV presenter best known for presenting some of the best reality shows such as Big Brother's Bit on the Side in 2013 and Married at first Sight: Afters in 2021.
