Theatre group looking to bring the fear to Paisley this Hallowe'en

A Renfrewshire theatre group is looking to create some spooktacular Hallowe’en fun in Paisley as it continues its post-Covid fightback.

The Three Sisters Theatre Company aims to bring the audience a terrifying night of enthralling theatrics where there will be dance and songs to savour.

The trio – although not related but very close friends – are looking forward to having a frightfully good time with the Buddies crowd later this month.

Katie Powell, one of the three sisters and creative director for the group, said: “The showcase will be an incredibly fun night in which we give the chance for our performers to really show off their thing.

"So, we have a bit of musicianship, singing, a little dancing; all with the theme of spookiness in mind! You'll be seeing lots of villains throughout the night.

“Our cast will be in full costumes, so we ask that our guests do too, as we'll be holding a costume contest with amazing prizes provided by local businesses.

"We'll even have an appearance from Michael Myers. We'll be having a raffle and a couple of games so there's even more chances to win – including tickets to our upcoming Christmas show.”

The Three Sisters Theatre Company was founded when the girls formed a strong bond after pulling a successful show when production seemed to be falling a little behind.

The group focuses on equality, transparency and friendship – which is represented in the symbol of their logo.

Productions had to be halted due to the Covid pandemic but with everything open again, the sisters are raring to get back on the stage.

One member of the group, Jess, was only 16 when the pandemic hit and she is looking forward to embracing the challenge of performing.

The Johnstone teenager explained: “I think the way people, and personally, perform now is more enthusiastic as I have missed it a lot.

"I was 16 when Covid happened so it’s a big change from going to junior shows to adult shows but I love a good challenge.”

The group hopes those attending will get into the Hallow'een spirit by dressing up with their fingers crossed for a big turnout.

Katie, who is from Bridge of Weir, added: “We've gained a good following thanks to 9 to 5 and I hope those people come along and support our performers doing their thing!"

The Hallowe'en Showcase will take place on Friday, October 21 and doors will open at 7.30pm at the RocknRollas in Paisley.

Tickets can be purchased here https://ticketlab.co.uk/ and prices start from £7.
