First stage in France I couldn't get too close to the UK, so fans may take advantage of the opportunity to pinch a channel. The stage is dotted with five category 4 climbs, but nothing is sharp enough to discourage sprinters as long as they can catch up with early departures. Strong winds can also be a factor.
