Transfer news LIVE: Cristiano Ronaldo latest, Jude Bellingham decision, Arsenal eye Evan Ndicka

Arsenal close on Ndicka

Arsenal have reportedly agreed to sign Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka when his contract expires next summer.

Ndicka, 23, has established himself as one of the most impressive defenders in the Bundesliga since he joined Frankfurt from French side Auxerre in July 2018. He helped Frankfurt win the Europa League in May, beating Rangers on penalties in the final in Seville.

The former France youth international has just over six months remaining on his deal and it is believed a number of top European clubs are interested in signing him, including Jose Mourinho's Roma. Yet Arsenal are thought to be leading the transfer race.

Bellingham 'keen' on Liverpool move

Following reports that Bellingham’s family would prefer the 19-year-old to move to Anfield in the summer, it has now been said the midfielder also reportedly favours a switch to Liverpool over Real Madrid.

The youngster has starred for England at the World Cup and is gaining more attention from other clubs in Europe by the minute, but it may appear that he has already made his mind up on where he wants to play next.

According to a report from Sport Bild, Bellingham is keen on joining Liverpool when he leaves Borussia Dortmund, despite interest from the likes of Real Madrid, in what comes as a huge boost for Klopp and the Reds ahead of next summer.

Ten Hag breaks silence on Ronaldo

Erik ten Hag insists Cristiano Ronaldo never told him he wanted to leave Manchester United before conducting his incendiary interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo, 37, agreed to terminate his contract at Old Trafford in November, having slammed Ten Hag and many other aspects of the club while speaking with close friend Morgan. The Portugal captain declared he had no "respect" for his manager after playing a bit-part role in the first half of the season.

There had been mass speculation about Ronaldo's future since the summer, when he reportedly told Red Devils chiefs he wanted to depart. However, Ten Hag recalls things very differently, claiming the five-time Ballon d'Or winner actually informed him he wanted to stay.

Netherlands crashed out of the World Cup on Friday evening as thoughts immediately turned to the future of star forward Cody Gakpo.

The PSV Eindhoven star had an impressive tournament and has been linked with a move to Manchester United, who remain on the lookout for a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo's own future is still under the microscope but he refuses to even consider his next move so long as Portugal are still in the tournament.

But while United ponder their strategy, rivals Arsenal already look to be strengthening amid reports they have reached an agreement to sign defender Evan Ndicka as a free agent next summer.

It could be a busy summer too for Jude Bellingham, who has lit up the World Cup and is attracting even greater advances from the likes of Liverpool, Man City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
