Two dead, women fighting for their lives after horror crash at A9

Two people died after a horrific crash on the A9 yesterday. She is already fighting for her life as a woman. The fatal accident occurred shortly before 5:00 pm on Wednesday on her Ralia road in Newtonmore, at a junction with a B9150.

Emergency services, including the Scottish Policeand the Scottish Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a collision between a car and a lorry.

Her two passengers, a 75-year-old woman and her 45-year-old man, were sadly pronounced dead at the scene. their families were informed.

The driver of the car, a 46-year-old woman, is hospitalized in serious condition. She did not hurt the truck driver, a 59-year-old man.

The road was initially blocked, traffic stopped, and drivers were urged to avoid the area while officers investigated the incident.It reopened approximately eight hours later.

Police are now seeking contact from anyone who may have information about the crash. Sergeant Alasdair McKay said:

"We are urging anyone who may have seen the crash or who has dash camera footage to contact the police.

"Information should call Scottish Police via 101 citing case number 2516 of 10 August 2022."
