TWO retailers are set to close a number of stores within days - we reveal the locations that are impacted.

The high street has been feeling the pinch since the coronavirus pandemic and shoppers have been cutting back spending due to soaring inflation.

Combined with higher staff and energy costs, a number of retailers have decided to close stores to ensure they can survive.

A number of well-known brands have closed outlets so far this year, with more planned for the coming months.

And some shops will be closing in just days.

M&Co is closing six stores on April 1 while Clintons is pulling down shutters on two stores on April 1 and April 8.

It comes after Paperchase started closing stores across the UK after collapsing into administration.

A number of outlets have already launched closing down sales while others have shut for good.

Meanwhile, a number of shops have closed this month.

Argos closed its Lanarkshire branch on March 11 while Sainsbury's, which owns the brand, has plans to close 50 standalone stores this month.

Boots closed two branches this month and B&Q pulled down shutters on eight "mini-shops" inside Asda supermarkets.

Plus, Iceland closed its branch in Rhyl, Wales, on March 14.

In other shopping news, Sainsbury's shoppers have been rushing to buy outdoor essentials scanning at £1 instead of £18.

Meanwhile, Asda is selling a giant 11 litre air fryer for under £70.
