Two teens, 15 and 16, charged with murder after Charlie Bartolo and Kearne Solanke, both 16, killed in double stabbing

TWO teens, aged 15 and 16, have been charged with murder after Charlie Bartolo and Kearne Solanke were killed in a double stabbing.

Charlie and Kearne, both 16, were fatally stabbed just a mile apart in south-east London, the Metropolitan Police said.

Cops confirmed that a 16-year-old boy had been arrested yesterday and a 15-year-old boy later in the day.

The two teens will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today charged with Charlie and Kearne's murders.

An investigation was launched after police were called just after 5pm on Saturday, 26 November to reports of two people injured at two separate locations - Sewell Road, Abbey Wood and Titmuss Avenue, Thamesmead.

Cops rushed to the scene with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

At the Sewell Road location they found Charlie with stab wounds.

While Kearne Solanke was discovered in Titmuss Avenue. He had also suffered stab wounds.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, both boys sadly died.

Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command are investigating, the force said.
