Pizza

Frozen pizza is a quick and easy dinner for your family.

Lidl,Aldi,Asda and Tesco sell frozen pizzas for 66p.

They all sell cheese and tomato pizzas at this price, but if you're into meat, go to Asda and Aldi for pepperoni pizzas for the same price.

Lynsey Hope of The Sun was a fan of Lidl's pizza when she tried frozen pizza.

She said she could hardly tell the difference between Lidl's pizza and She's Goodfellas, which was £1.49 more expensive.

Fish Fingers

Buy Oven Chips at the supermarket to recreate Friday night dinners for less.

You can buy her bag of French fries for 89p at Aldi.

Tesco and Sainsbury's sell packets of chips for 99 pence.

And she splashes a penny and heads to Waitrose for a pound bag - Lindsey scored on the Oven Chips taste test.

Chicken Nuggets

Chicken Nuggets are a family favorite.

Asda sells her 20 nuggets in her 320g bag for 85p.

The next best bargain was Aldi's Her Pack of 450g Rooster Nuggets at £1.39.

However, Sun reporter Alice Grahns rankedMarks & Spencer's nuggets the highest - but much more expensive at £3.50.

She said they were 'tender', 'crispy and delicious'.

Yorkshire Pudding

It wouldn't be a Sunday Roast without Yorkshire Pudding.

If you're planning to cook a feast this weekend but are on a tight budget, go to Sainsbury's where 48 pence gets her 15 drinks.

On the other hand, Asda and Tesco sell for 50 pence.

But when Sun reporter Jess Clark tested thesupermarket's own brand of pudding, he thought the 85p Morrisons pack was the best.

She thought it was 'delicious'.

Cornet Imitators

You'll want ice cream in your freezer while the weather is still warm.

Aldi sells chocolate and hazelnut cones for 95p for her four. So per cone she is 22p.

But when Laura Stott of The Sun tried a supermarket cone,she liked her Lidl's Strawberry and Vanilla Bon Gelati cone.

She said it was sticky and had "plenty of sauce."

In a pack of 6 she works out at £1.45 - 24p a cone.

Burgers

There's still time to start barbecues this summer.

No feast is complete without a hamburger.

Aldi sells her pack of six for £1. 79- but from Asda she gets a 10 pack for £1.60.

Tesco sells packs for the same price, but there are only four.

Winner: Asda

Sausage

Also get Bangers to put on the grill.

In her Smart Price range at Asda she can get 20 sausages for £1.21.

Tesco sells her a pack with the same amount of sausage for £1.25.

Meanwhile, Sainsbury's sells it for £1.50.

Mixed Vegetables

Hitting packs of mixed vegetables in the freezer is a good way to ensure you're getting five meals a day.

Asda sells her 1kg pack for her 72p.

Sainsbury's, Aldi and Tesco sell the same quantity for 79 pence.

There aren't many mixed vegetables, so I recommend going to Asda for savings.

Late night snack or quick post-barbecue dessert.

Buy a 2 liter tub at Asda and Tesco for just £1.02.

Sainsbury's sells the same size tub for £1.19.
