A talented Wishaw pool player is heading to France aiming to capture world title glory.
Logan Davidson is travelling to Albi, near Toulouse, as part of the under-18s Scotland team on Friday for the World Blackball Championships.
The 16-year-old has already represented the country at under-15 level and is hoping to taste glory at singles, doubles and the team event.

Proud mum Shona will be joining her son on the trip, which will see 559 players compete from 18 countries.
She said: “I’m immensely proud of him, never in my wildest dreams did I would be so engrossed in a game of pool!
“The spirit within the team is always great and I just want him to do well.”
Logan was a keen footballer in his earlier days but became engrossed in the game after playing pool on holiday.
A trip to a club in Airdrie followed and before long he was representing Scotland at a range of tournaments up and down the country.
The Coltness High School pupil’s build-up to this tournament hasn’t been the best including a trip to the hospital to remove an appendix.
However, he has been combining his schoolwork with hours of practice at his home with a dining table, which has been converted into a full size pool table.
“He has had a bit of a nightmare over the past few weeks,” admitted Shona.
“He was desperate to get out of hospital and get back on the table.
“Logan really enjoys school and is studying for his Highers at the moment and we’re thankful to the school for letting him compete at the World Championships.
“He wanted a table to practice in the house so we decided to move our living room and dining room around.
“One day I think I might get my dining table back!
“But the most important thing is that Logan enjoys it. During lockdown it really kept him going and gave him something to focus on.”
