An elderly woman died after being pulled out of water on the beach.
EssexPolice said emergency services responded to concerns about the health of the woman in Walton On Her Naze around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday.
A woman in her 80s was pulled from the water and pronounced dead despite the efforts of civilians and paramedics.
Police said:
"We would like to thank members of public and partner agencies for their efforts in responding to this incident."
