A woman switched to medical school after retired and trained to become a doctor at age 50. This proves it's never too late to follow her dreams.
Jen Reinmuth-Birch, 51, was encouraged by her new husband to return to her school to rebuild her career.
Consistent with her own experience raising an autistic boy, she witnessed the amazing work of medical professionals working with children with special needs. I was inspired.
A mother of two,completed her long-awaited medical school in Pacific in January. It took her four years to get the Year 2021.
She is now in her second year and inspires others to do exactly what she wants to do.

``I was a single mother and worked two jobs to make ends meet.
"After four years of hard work, I am now on my way to becoming a doctor and I love every second.
"It's hard work, but I couldn't be happier."
Jen has 20-year-old twin boys, Jack and Michael, and has always been a stay-at-home mom.
However, when her marriage fell apart in 2008, she was forced to live alone.
She said: "I became a busy city mom juggling two jobs.
"My son was first."
} But Jen found time to go back and do something. She earned a master's degree in special education and under the guidance of a doctor she discovered her love for medicine.
"I found it very interesting, but I didn't think there was such an option," she said.
But in 2012, she met distribution manager Norm Birch, 66, through a friend's referral.

``But he said he would help them.
Jen returned to school in September 2012 and took four years to qualify in science and apply for a medical degree.
Her legs went numb when she found out she got into her dream medical school, Jen said.
"It was such a shock. It's life-changing."
Jen said she will be enrolled at the Pacific College of Health Sciences at West University in August 2021, and every morning. I wake up at 4am to study, and class starts at 8am.
She will graduate.
"I thought it would feel strange for her to start school at 50 when all the other students were young enough to be my children," Jen said.
``But they only see me as Jen. Me too. They say, that's great," said Jen.
"I'm in tears. I'm reading some of the messages I received." Participate in her four-year program which consists of placements in and then beginning a residency.
"I love him. He's my number one cheerleader."
