Seahorses are usually brightly colored and you might think they stand out from the background, so be extra careful.

Seahorses are the same shade of pink as the coral they're hiding in, so they blend in very easily. Almost impossible to spot.
The creature in the picture is a pygmy seahorse and is very small.
Even when fully grown, he is usually less than 2 cm, so don't be surprised that he can hide easily.
Pygmy seahorses are found in the Coral Triangle region of Southeast Asia.
They are especially known for their incredible camouflage abilities.
