Zoe Kravitz regrets how she called Will Smith's Oscar slap: 'It's a terrible time to have an opinion'

Zoe Kravitz called out Will Smith for slapping Chris Rock at this year's Academy Awards expressed regret about

In a new interview with The Wall Street JournalKravitz took a moment to and commented on the previous response.

"I'm not sure what to say now because I'm supposed to talk about it. I have very mixed feelings about it." She said. She quickly deleted the photo.

"It's a scary time to make an opinion, say the wrong thing, or make controversial art, statements, thoughts, etc."

But she added that moment reminding her that she is an artist. “Being an artist doesn't mean that everyone loves you or that everyone thinks you're cool. "I think I'm in a place right now where I don't want to express myself in captions or tweets." I want to express myself through art.”

In a YouTube video posted in late July, Smith answered fan questions about the March debacle , denied that his wife, Pinkett Smith, had asked him to act on his behalf.

Elsewhere in the video,Smith touched on why he didn't apologize to The Rock immediately after the incident on stage where he won his first Best Actor Academy Award.
