Donegal Mountain Rescue volunteers were in action on Muckish mountain yesterday after two walkers lost their way.
The team was tasked to the area at 1.35pm on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon.
The Rescue 118 helicopter was also tasked from Sligo.
The operation was a success and both hikers returned safely to lower ground.
Donegal Mountain Rescue Team is comprised completely of volunteers who are on 24 hour call, 365 days of the year.
