A toddler is in serious condition after being forgotten in a vehicle in the northern Israeli town of Kiryat Bialik on Friday, medics said.
Magen David Adom medics said they received a call about the girl who had been in the closed car for about two hours. “She was very hot to the touch and unconscious.”
Medics treated and evacuated her to the nearby Rambam hospital in Haifa. “She is in a serious condition and being ventilated,” the MDA said.
Reports said the girl was forgotten in the back of the vehicle by her father in the parking lot where he worked.
Earlier this month, a three-year-old girl died after she was forgotten in a car in the southern town of Hura.

According to the B’Terem child safety organization, five children have died as a result of being forgotten or trapped in a car since the start of the year. In 2021, six children died under those circumstances.
