The government of Saint Lucia on Tuesday sought parliamentary approval to borrow money to support the financing of the 2022/2023 budget. Prime minister and finance minister Philip J. Pierre explains the loan will help pay down the debt and meet outstanding obligations including the liabilities of the previous administration.
