NEC Declares Campaign Open On Saturday, As 20 Presidential Candidates Prepare For October 10 Polls

The National Elections Commission (NEC) has declared August 5, 2023 campaign open for all those who have registered for the presidency and both the House of Senate and Representatives to peacefully begin their respective campaign thrill till the 8th of October, 2023.

Ahead of the much anticipated and anxiously awaiting elections, Liberians from all sector of the society are opting for a peaceful election, and further warned of any would be trouble during these elections.

Recently the Liberian leader, President George Manneh Weah who is also one of those to be on the frontline for his ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) joined the global community to call on the Liberian people, including the opposition to be peaceful during these elections.

Over twenty presidential candidates are expected to form part of this campaign nationwide, while other dozens of political parties and independent’s candidates for the positions of  the House of Representatives and Senate will be on the move to politically convince their respective supporters for the win.
