According to Gaza health authorities, the Palestinian death toll has surpassed 40,000, a figure that has raised alarm among international observers. This tragic milestone comes approximately 10 months after the conflict's onset on October 7, 2023, when Hamas-led militants launched an attack on Israel, resulting in about 1,200 casualties and 250 hostages.
