Trey Yingst, Fox News' chief foreign correspondent, is set to release a book titled "Black Saturday" on October 1, 2024, coinciding with the first anniversary of the Hamas attacks in Israel. The publication, under the Fox News Books imprint of HarperCollins, aims to provide a detailed account of the events that unfolded on October 7, 2023.
The book promises to offer readers a comprehensive look at the violence and heroism witnessed during the attacks. Yingst, who was present in southern Israel as the events unfolded, stated, "['Black Saturday'] plunges the reader into that day while exposing the realities of war told by Israelis and Palestinians."
At 30 years old, Yingst has established himself as a seasoned war correspondent. Since joining Fox News in 2018, he has covered numerous conflicts across the globe, including those in Ukraine and the Middle East. His reporting on the October 7 attacks gained significant attention, particularly when a Hamas rocket landed approximately 30 meters from his position.
Yingst's experience extends beyond the recent Hamas attacks. He has reported from over 20 countries and was one of the first journalists to report from ISIS-held territory in Syria.
