Middle East conflicts complicate Biden-Harris election strategy

The Biden-Harris campaign faces a tricky situation as Middle East conflicts heat up. Benjamin Netanyahuʼs actions in Gaza and Lebanon are making things hard for the US administration.

Netanyahu has been busy: hes bombing Gaza‚ invading Lebanon and might attack Iran soon. This has put the US in a tough spot – they first wanted a cease-fire in Lebanon but then backed Israels ground attack. This flip-flop has confused Americas allies in Europe and the Arab world.

The administration is trying not to fight with Netanyahu publicly because of the election. But they also dont want to lose Arab American votes in important states. Its a delicate balance.

US officials say theyre working hard to get more aid into Gaza and stop the war from spreading. But the results arent great: aid to Gaza has dropped by half since spring and the fighting in Lebanon is getting worse.

The Harris campaign is really worried about this especially in Michigan (which has lots of Arab Americans). Polls show Harris and Trump are neck-and-neck in key states that will decide the election.

We will continue to hit Hezbollah mercilessly in all parts of Lebanon — also in Beirut

Netanyahu stated

US officials tried to get a cease-fire last month but it fell apart when Israel killed Hezbollahs leader. Now Netanyahu has sent troops into Lebanon which the US kinda supports – but its not going as smoothly as they hoped.

With the election coming up soon‚ the Biden team is scrambling to deal with these conflicts. They want to show theyre in control but its clear that Netanyahu is calling a lot of the shots
