Oasis Announces North American Reunion Tour for 2025

Liam and Noel Gallagher, the iconic brothers behind Oasis, have surprised fans with news of a North American tour in 2025, marking the end of a 15-year break. This announcement follows the recent revelation of their UK reunion tour, which sparked excitement among long-time supporters.

The Britpop legends, known for their chart-topping hits like "Wonderwall" and "Don't Look Back in Anger," have scheduled five stadium performances across the continent. The tour will commence on August 24, 2025, in Toronto, followed by shows in Chicago, East Rutherford (New Jersey), Los Angeles, and concluding in Mexico City on September 12, 2025.

Oasis, formed in Manchester in 1991, quickly rose to fame with their debut album "Definitely Maybe" in 1994, which became the fastest-selling debut album in British history at the time. Their sophomore release, "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?", solidified their status as one of the best-selling bands globally, with over 75 million records sold worldwide.

The band's management has addressed concerns about ticket sales, stating that Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing model will not be applied to the North American tour. This decision aims to prevent issues similar to those experienced by UK fans during the recent ticket release.

"When unprecedented ticket demand (where the entire tour could be sold many times over at the moment tickets go on sale) is combined with technology that cannot cope with that demand, it becomes less effective and can lead to an unacceptable experience for fans."

Fans interested in attending the North American shows can register for the presale ballot until October 1, 2024, at 8 a.m. Eastern. The general ticket sale will begin on October 4, 2024, at 12 p.m. local time. As part of the registration process, fans must answer a trivia question about the band's last North American performance, which occurred in 2008.

Oasis' influence on the music industry has been significant, with the band winning numerous accolades including 17 NME Awards, 6 BRIT Awards, and 9 Q Awards. Their music, heavily influenced by The Beatles, has left an indelible mark on popular culture, with "Wonderwall" becoming one of the most popular karaoke songs worldwide.

The reunion tour comes after a tumultuous history of public feuds between the Gallagher brothers. Oasis disbanded in 2009 following years of internal conflicts, with Noel Gallagher departing just before a festival performance near Paris.
