Shepolopolo Zambia coach Bruce Mwape has announced a 33-member provisional squad for the 2022 COSAFA Women’s Championship to be held in South Africa from August 31-September 11.
Captain Barbara Banda has bounced back in the squad after controversially missing the Africa Cup in Morocco.
19 players from the Africa Cup squad have made it into the provisional squad.
Zambia is in Group B alongside Namibia, Eswatini and Lesotho.
Shepolopolo will kick off the COSAFA campaign against Namibia on 1 September at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium before the penultimate group match against Lesotho on 4 September and will tackle Eswatini two days later.
