“I always planned on running my own clinic. This idea started sometime back while I was with the Ministry of Health,” she said.

Dentist Kulsoon Shireen Mohammed(inset).

Kulsoom Shireen Mohammed is a 33-year-old who was born and raised in Nadi. She is the youngest of four siblings.

After completing her secondary school education at Nadi Muslim College, Ms Mohammed moved to Suva to study for five years at the Fiji School of Medicine. In 2013, she graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery.

“I served with the Ministry of Health for a total of nine years. During my tenure with them, I was posted at Labasa Hospital, Sigatoka Hospital and Lautoka Hospital,” she said.

Ms Mohammed then shifted her sights on running her own health-oriented clinic. With the support of her family, she opened a dental clinic business called Pro Smile Dental in Namaka, Nadi.

“I always planned on running my own clinic. This idea started sometime back while I was with the Ministry of Health,” she said.

“I own and operate it, making sure we deliver a wide range of quality dental services.”

Ms Mohammed said her goal has always been to provide the best care through her years of experience and skill.

“With my own dental clinic, I am able to achieve this goal as well as provide guidance on the best practices that can be undertaken for good dental hygiene and care,” she said.

SunBiz spoke with the dental professional to learn about her career and her top local destinations for food and travel.
