According to an announcement of the Fire Service, a fire has been raging in Mathikoloni, Limassol.
Initially two fire engines from Limassol and one from the Forestry Department responded but then another six fire engines were dispatched from Limassol and six from the Forestry Department, as well as five aircraft and two helicopters. The fire is burning dry weeds and wild vegetation while an isolated house has been protected.
