The conflict in the Gaza Strip has intensified, with Israeli forces escalating their military operations across the region. On August 8, 2024, Palestinian medical sources reported at least 25 fatalities resulting from increased Israeli strikes.
Hamas-controlled Gaza, one of the world's most densely populated areas with over 2 million inhabitants in just 365 square kilometers, has been under a strict blockade by Israel and Egypt since 2007. The current conflict, which began 10 months ago, has exacerbated the already dire humanitarian situation in the territory.

As the conflict persists, Gaza's infrastructure, including its water supply—largely unfit for human consumption—continues to deteriorate. The Israeli military has renewed evacuation orders for Palestinian residents in several districts of eastern Khan Younis, warning of impending forceful action against militants launching rockets from these areas.
